Baggage allowance
EVA Air offers generous baggage allowances. On most long-haul routes (piece concept), Economy Class passengers can check 2 bags (up to 23kg/50lbs each). Premium Economy allows 2 bags (up to 28kg/62lbs each), and Royal Laurel/Business Class permits 2 bags (up to 32kg/70lbs each). All passengers are allowed one 7kg (15lbs) carry-on bag plus a personal item.
Change policy
Flight change rules are determined by the specific Fare Family purchased. 'Up' fares offer maximum flexibility with free or reduced change fees, while 'Basic' and 'Discount' fares incur higher penalties. Any applicable fare difference must be paid. Changes can generally be made online up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure.
Check-in
Online and mobile check-in opens 48 hours and closes 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Airport counters typically open 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes prior for international flights. Self-service kiosks are available at major hub airports like Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) to expedite the process.
