Baggage allowance
All passengers are allowed 1 free personal item and 1 standard carry-on bag. Checked baggage allowances and fees vary by route and fare class. Standard Main Cabin domestic flights typically charge a fee for the first checked bag up to 50 lbs (23 kg), while many international routes include at least 1 free checked bag.
Change policy
Delta eliminated change fees for tickets originating in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean (excluding Basic Economy). While no change fees apply, fare differences must be paid. Basic Economy tickets are non-changeable but may be canceled for a partial eCredit subject to a cancellation charge.
Check-in
Online and mobile check-in via the Fly Delta app opens 24 hours prior to scheduled departure. Airport kiosks and desk check-in are also available. Delta recommends arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights.
